Butterfly Man of Kuranda's Butterflies

Frederick Parkhurst Dodd is known as "The Butterfly Man of Kuranda" due to his dedication to discovering and breeding butterflies (and other insects) he found in the rainforests surrounding his home in Kuranda, North Queensland at the turn of the 20th century. This display is in the Qld Museum, Brisbane.
FP Dodd also happens to be the great grandfather of a dear and brilliant friend of mine.
What a lovely display! Most of the butterflies I see in LA are pretty,but not as ornate as these!

@lorihiro @peacerebel Ulyses butterflies (large and vivid blue) are a delight to see in the wild as are the large, green birdwing butterflies (I think these are Cairns birdwings).
