A mass formation flypast of 20 F/A-18F Super Hornets flew over the Gold and Sunshine Coasts, Brisbane and Ipswich, today as part of the welcoming ceremony for four new Super Hornets.
We had a grandstand view from the verandah BOTH times they flew over, and do you think I noticed them coming in enough time to get a decent photo??? This is the clearest shot and the exposure was all wrong, but these beasts didn't hang around long enough for me to get a better one.
...nor when they flew back from the other direction, almost right over our heads. It was an awesome sight and sound.
@sunnygreenwood@leebo81@bobfoto Thanks - but I found the problem with the shot - I thought I set the camera to "Auto" because I knew I'd never be able to catch them any other way.... yet it was set to 'Program' and got too dark, grainy pics.
Oh well - it was still an awesome sight.
@corymbia - some of those cameras where you have a dial, can be easy to bump into the wrong settings. I have to hit two buttons to move mine from A to S to M to P. Don't have an Auto...
