A swarm of superhornets

A mass formation flypast of 20 F/A-18F Super Hornets flew over the Gold and Sunshine Coasts, Brisbane and Ipswich, today as part of the welcoming ceremony for four new Super Hornets.
We had a grandstand view from the verandah BOTH times they flew over, and do you think I noticed them coming in enough time to get a decent photo??? This is the clearest shot and the exposure was all wrong, but these beasts didn't hang around long enough for me to get a better one.
...nor when they flew back from the other direction, almost right over our heads. It was an awesome sight and sound.
very impressive! it's exciting to see and hear them perform, great capture!

I saw them zoom past my office in Brisbane - also in formation. Must have stayed that way all the way down to the Gold Coast!

@sunnygreenwood @leebo81 @bobfoto Thanks - but I found the problem with the shot - I thought I set the camera to "Auto" because I knew I'd never be able to catch them any other way.... yet it was set to 'Program' and got too dark, grainy pics.
Oh well - it was still an awesome sight.

@corymbia - I know that feeling! Although the graineyness in this shot adds a bit of "impending doom" to the shot! Nice feel!

@bobfoto Thanks, but I am kicking myself. I never use "P" ... I'm either on full auto or full manual because the rest just confuses me.

@corymbia - some of those cameras where you have a dial, can be easy to bump into the wrong settings. I have to hit two buttons to move mine from A to S to M to P. Don't have an Auto...
