this is quite lovely!!! Isn't it cool how photography gets you to notice so much? What a pretty little toad stool! and I love the colors in the background.
I expected to have to browse through to find something I loved, but this is really great! Imagine my surprise when I looked at the month and loved almost every single photo you've posted! lol. All this green just makes my soul smile!
@eosin thanks - my yard is sloped so it continues uphill in the distance @lorihiro thank you @filsie65 thanks - delicate is not normally my strong-suit
@moirab thank you @swilde thanks - my camera eas actually vertical (or as vertical as I could get it. The angle didn't occur to me until I looked at it here. @elizabeth264 I nearly missed the 3 huge toadstools growing in my yard. @maggierda indeed I was, and even then I couldn't get low enough. @curiousmomworm Sarah - thank you so much for your lovely comment here and also on the browse&pick discussion. Given that most of my life is mired in grief, it does surprise me that I seem to subconsciously search for joy in the things I photograph:)
good weather for it at the mo'.... are you drying out? We have some really hot humid days today and tomorrow. 35ÂșC for tomorrow which for Brownsville is pretty rude!
@bobfoto It's stinking hot here today with the humidity. Glad I am not teaching today .PHEW!
We are drying out (touch wood) ... my house is built into the side of a hill with living areas upstairs and garage and storage downstairs (half concrete / half dirt floor) ... and last summer I had water seeping through my garage at a great rate of knots - soaking all of Greg's tools and things I didn't know what to do with. So I spent THOUSANDS on a 2-3m deep trench / drain and deck (to keep water from falling on another bit of ground not covered by the drain) and STILL had water in the sump my friend dug under the house. At least this year, I was already prepared with the sump and pump and the drain did get rid of most of the water..... but I am officially OVER IT.
@corymbia - I too have a pre-arranged day off, so am hiding from the heat in the AC. I daresay the wet season is not over however. But despite the heat, it would be good to see the ground dry up a little ;)
@lorihiro thank you

@scrappy thank you so much for the fav!
@ts thanks - again I just used either av or macro setting on my 18-55mm. I think this one may have been on av and shot in raw.
