AMICUS CERTUS IN RE INCERTA

"A SURE FRIEND IN UNCERTAIN TIMES"
This sculpture stands on the Queen St façade of the MacArthur Building in Brisbane. The Building is notable for its wartime association with General Douglas MacArthur, who used the building as the Allied forces' South West Pacific Area Headquarters from July 1942 to November 1944 according to: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/MacArthur_Central

I took this photo at exactly 11:11 am today ... and since 11:11 has a special significance to me (11s chase me), I knew this had to be today's shot, despite it not being the "best" shot I took.
...and for those wondering, 11s are for remembrance of those who have died.
Excellent Capture and History!

Lady in the middle certainly looks a strong loving character. What a lovely sculpture and sentiment to express and 'set in stone' for remembrance.

"A sure friend in uncertain times." intriguing shot. Is 11:11 an "uncertain time" for you? This is very nicely done.
