The Fiddler by countrylassie

The Fiddler

This is a sculpture in my nearest city of Jimmy Dyer (1841 - 1903) a fiddler who regularly performed at festivals and markets.
This is very good, you have leading lines but the sculpture is so powerful you have to come back to him. Well done.

Thank you both so much, I struggled with this (was facing him front ways, getting all the shops in the background) my Mum said why don't you move around to the side, I need to stop and think more often!! @dianeburns and @hermann

Hiya,
Sorry I've not been about for awhile. Had a lot of things going on. This is great. I spotted it in my feed and meant to comment then. It's really well framed and the leading lines are great. Moving about is brilliant advice. I'd pick a subject and work it from lots of different angles. The only thing I'd really suggest for this is to try and give him more room at his feet.

Thanks for the advice @mei photography. I will give it a go taking different shots from different angles, and I take your point about more room at his feet, I think I was trying to get rid of all the street 'furniture' and signs that are everywhere!

@countrylassie Ah yes that can be tricky. It is a really nice shot. Caught my eye in my feed when it came up :)
