@woofandweft1 hi, I like to work with layers, so I started with acrylic inks which I sprayed with water and allowed to drip. Then when dry I added some acrylic paints and stencilling with my home-made stencils, and mark-making :)
Oh.I'll try the spraying technic. I thought you'd used turkey oak leaves to make your stencil. I'm a textile artist, weaving and feltmaking. So I work in layers too!
@woofandweft1 I specialised in textiles when I did my art foundation course but then went into ceramics for 20 years! A shoulder problem stopped that so I went back to mixed media. My sister does a lot of felt making ( she even felted her own wedding dress!) and a friend here does too, so I have tried it a few times. Would love to see some of your work.
