was created "as a symbol of the extraordinary fight one has within them in searching for a second chance at life"
This inspiring piece, created in metal, is part of this year's South Australian Living Artists Festival and was one of 13 sculptures on display in Adelaide's largest and most beautiful cemetery and memorial park.
There's lots of details in the sculpture to study; the body made of flowers, the butterflies as hair and perhaps "energy" at her fingertips. The fact she is on her toes gives a sense of being lifted up... I wonder if the red flowers were meant to make it look like she had tights or leggings/pants on. Creative sculpturing.
@mrsbluesky
thankyou all. glad to share it with you
@lyndemc yes Denise, there is so much to ponder in this sculpture. The artist created it in memory of his friend who fought a brave battle with cancer.
