our little visitor

so excited this afternoon to see this furry friend in the tree next to our house. I think he/she is quite young being not as big as some of the koalas that come to our garden. This is their favourite tree. Over the last couple of months the tree has dropped an enormous amount of leaves and now has lots of fresh young shoots which will be very tasty.
Oh my gosh! I would flip out with excitement if I saw a koala in a tree by my house! Wonderful shot, Chris!!

I agree with Peggy. I would stay out there taking his pictures until he decides to leave.

How good is this. We had a young koala in one of our trees a couple of months ago. The first one we have seen on our property in 20 years.

Mr. Boo wants to know if Koalas are vicious? @cruiser
January 5th, 2018
@huvesaker well Mr. Boo, although they sleep around 22 hours a day (because eucalyptus leaves take a very long time to digest) I have seen them move quite fast when they are on the groud and want to cross from one tree to another. They have very sharp claws. One evening one walked very close to me so that I could have patted it but I didnt dare. They do not attack anything and are sadly sometimes attacked by dogs but you would have to be very careful if you picked one up. We all love them and if one is trying to cross a road the cars will wait patiently. Have a look at these pics. http://www.adelaidenow.com.au/news/adelaide-cyclists-stop-to-give-thirsty-koala-a-drink-from-water-bottle/news-story/acf3ef08c6889954b48aaa354c95cd8c
