reverse sunset

we are in a valley and we don't get to see the sun rise or set but tonight, although we couldnt see the sun anymore, it reflected on the clouds in the east and cast an eerie red glow on everything due to all the smoke and dust in the atmosphere from all the fires.
After having had temperatures in the 40's last week, today it only reached about 15C. A welcome respite before it moves up again.
That is very surreal Chris ...it looks quite scary...our son & dil are flying back to the uk fir her fathers funeral & on checking noticed they flew higher over Brisbane...wonder if planes are avoiding the Sydney area.

The smoke has had an interesting effect- it's almost like you put a filter on your camera lens. It's a pleasing shot but I do hope you're safe and out of harm's way.

We here about the fires all the time on the news now and it sounds frightening. Lovely picture though scary because of the reason for it.

Beautiful sunrise colours. Must be hard to live there at this moment but I hear it has rained yesterday, so I hope everything will get better very soon.

That’s an awesome capture but the reason for that amazing sky is a tragic one. I hope you’re safe where you are.
