In memory of Private Simpson 1892 - 1915

Private Simpson was a stretcher bearer with the ANZACs at Gallipoli in World War 1. After landing at Anzac Cove he obtained a donkey and carried wounded soldiers from the front line to the beach for evacuation. He continued this for 3 weeks until he was killed. He was almost 23. Simpson and his donkey are a key part of the Anzac legend
So moving
