the new jumper

knitting is the process of using two or more needles to connect loops of yarn to create fabric. It is thought to have originated in the 13th century. Knitting for me is a hobby and a labour of love when I knit garments for my grandchildren or family members. I have been knitting since I was a child.
I like it

Lovely capture! Love your composition! I tried to learn knitting one day and just couldn't get the gibs of the gab, so I'm very impressed when I see others do it so easily! :) x

@cruiser Chris, I have been doing some crochet covered stones lately. http://365project.org/robbynmarie/365/2014-01-20
You should be able to see them on this link. I have a collection of soft, round stones from my favorite beach, (that also has a lighthouse on it) and wondered what I would ever do with them...I found the answer. I've been covering stones all winter with a bit of crochet. Odd, but fun. I also do some filet crocheted lace.

Wonderful detail and composition. And I'm impressed by the knitting - that's going to be a lovely sweater. I've tried to learn a few times with my Mom as a teacher (she's a great knitter as well as a fantastic quilter) & usually ended up throwing it across the room. I have other skills, lol.
