..............but the open cast mining for China Clay at the Wheal Martyn pit. A very wet and messy job as they had to blast the rock with high pressure hoses and then go into a very long and involved route to separate all the minerals and other products to extract the actual china clay. Men, women and children all worked the mines.....many generations of them. Thank you all for your kind comments and FAV's on yesterdays pic and for placing it on TP and PP.
