Shifting Sands of Time by cwbill

Shifting Sands of Time

One of the many sand dunes in White Sands National Park. It is amazing to see the dunes. It is gypsum sand and is nowhere near an ocean. The wind creates so many wave formations in the sand as it continually shifts.
We have these amazing dunes on the West Coast too, hard to believe where they come from.

Is it used for glass making?

@777margo, this sand is gypsum sand. Gypsum is a common ingredient in making drywall boards for use in construction.
