The Beaver Climbing Long's Peak by cwbill

The Beaver Climbing Long's Peak

Look at the left side of the tall mountain and you can see the beaver going up the mountain. Long's Peak is the tallest mountain in Rocky Mountain National Park at 14,259'. I have hiked to 13,200' but in early July it was a technical climb beyond that because the trail was still iced in. I was very happy they wouldn't let us hike further since the next stretch of the trail was the narrows which is about 1/2 mile of 3' wide trail with a 2500' sheer drop off the one side.
That is a huge hike up and down. Like the mountain shape and colors. Beautifully captured.

A wonderful capture of this gorgeous scene and beautiful clouds. No way I could ever dream of hiking there as I have acrophobia!

It must have been a nice but tiring hike, but it was worth it if you were able to take such a beautiful picture.
