Church Hunt day today, so off we went, armed with a guide to interesting churches and cameras.
The ones in the leaflets should be open, but as usual we got distracted and visited some that weren't.
There is always this moment of anticipation....
Will the church be open?
What will it be like inside.
Todays highlight was Hoarworthy, a delightful italiante gem, just north of Ross On Wye.
The outside is amazing, but this carving caught my eye....
My grandma used to take us to visit other churches when we were kids. We would always make a wish when we entered and said special prayers. I've often thought of doing the same with my kids, but sadly have only visited a few. The holidays are a great time to do this. The older churches are the best.
