Hero or Zero? by daffodill

Hero or Zero?

"What's down the coast between Cromer & Great Yarmouth?" we wondered...
So we set off using an OS map to keep us close to the sea.
We saw a photography exhibition, so we stopped the car
and wondered into a church at Mundesley.
No photography exhibition,
but we did find a group of ladies playing classical music.
"The concert is over!' they announced, although there was no audience, gathered up their instruments and left.
very much an "Alice' moment.
Just as we were about to get back into the car we noticed another hall over the road - ah there's the exhibition!
There was very good pictures - they also did coffee & cake.
We continued down the coast, looking for somewhere to have lunch,
just as we were thinking that we wouldn't find anywhere
We came to Walcott a place where we could park next to the sea wall.
The tide was in, so we spent a good couple of hours or so, watching the dramatic high tide.
Unfortunately, a member of our group did get rather wet.....
Just before we left we spotted this adrenaline junkie father & son duo,
who scrambled down the bank
and ran along the prom, dodging the breaking waves
After viewing another church we headed off for Great Yarmouth with a view to consuming Fish'n'chips....
We arrived to see monstrous black clouds over the wind farm...
so we opted to eat indoors.
We found a row of food places and spent half an hour trying to decided which one would gain our custom, hypnotised by the menus
The first one we went into was a slice of bread & butter/mug of tea. Chairs were fixed to the tables to stop anyone nicking them.
Looking at the abandoned plates of half consumed food,
we made a sharp exit.
We opted instead for a greek restaurant with comfy seats.
I had the home made Lasagne (yes I know it is Italian) which was the best I have ever tasted.
The heavy rain duly arrived.
We made a brief visit to an amusement arcade
& donated a couple of £'s to the machines...
The rain had set in for the evening, so we reluctantly said "Goodbye" to Yarmouth & let the Sat Nav take us back by a more direct route.
Another good day.
That giant splash really adds to the picture!
