The opportunity to see fireworks!
After my husband had survived a frantic few days at work as a result of the GCSE results, we were in no hurry to go anywhere Saturday morning!
The M5 was moving slowly, as we knew it would be.
After we had pitched the van and the awning was up, we decided to head into Sidmouth for tea.
We arrived to find a raft race in progress, so we joined the throng watching on, as the intrepid teams battled to get ashore and then to get their rafts up the pebbly beach.
We then noticed that there would be fire works that evening.
I have seen very few fireworks over the last decade , as my daughter hates them, however she was keen to stay and watch them, so we did.
We found a vantage point the other end of the bay, where it was a lot quieter. My daughter did watch, albeit with her hands over her ears, and here is my photo to mark the day :)
