This evening we went carol singing in the streets around the church.
We were very fortunate with the weather, it was both mild and dry!
Whilst a group stood and sang our way through the carols on the sheet, time after time, others knocked doors and gave away mince pies and Chocolate Celebrations and wished folks a Happy Christmas. Folks really appreciated the singing and we raised over £40 from donations given to us.
Folks stood on their doorsteps to listen and waved. it was a lovely lovely evening. Really worthwhile.
I took a few photos of some of the illuminated decorations. Loved the mixed messages this household were sending out!
To the right you can see my daughter, with a see - through umbrella dressed in lights, suspended under the umbrella is our camping parasol light, which resembles an upside down UFO, round the edge is a set of battery operated lights.
'Merry Christmas' everyone, or would you prefer the other message?
