Discovering a pair of binoculars in your bedroom,
takes you into another world.
These are not chairs I am standing on, Mum,
it's a vantage point,
looking out for pirates,
and dragons,
and Hetty Feather.
Do not disturb me,
I am busy.
I have work to do!
Avenues to travel down in my imagination,
before the sun sets,
the magic evaporates,
and suburbia reclaims
this window of imagination.
