Intruder

Today was culture day as we visited the Barbra Hepworth Garden and Tate St. Ives.

I loved the sculptures in the garden, and the way the studio and other sections had been restored as if she was still working there. Some people may recognise the man in the mirror!

In some way it felt as if we were interlopers into her space, but despite the number of visitors it was very peaceful.

We arrived in bright sunshine, and then it rained - a good excuse to go back round the garden and admire the sculptures with added raindrops.
I've read about this, Patrick Gale writes a very evocative description in Notes from an Exhibition too - nice to see it in picture form

How very atmospheric. Yes I can understand that you might feel like interlopers.
