Secure

Stokesay Castle in Shopshire, destination for todays jaunt.
So glad we got to go on a quiet autumn day,
when we could wander,
and listen to the wind howling round the rooftops
and hear the creak of every stair,
marvel at the joints holding in place each rafter,
and gaze through imperfect glass,
at field and water, woodland and sky
while the 11:53 to hereford rattles by
and trucks on the A49
rumble past
oblivious to the history
that lies just over the hedgerow.
Lovely - is that a lake of have you got flooding too?
I lived in Shropshire for 3 years and saw much of it, but never got to Stokesay

It is a lake, but I think it was enlarged by the recent rain. Never been here before today! Hope to return though :)

Size - plus lakes tend to have names. That was a flooded farmer's pond I reckon?
