How do you do that - My fireworks never look anything like as good as that - really gonna need to work out what my settings are for this year! Lovely pic.

Having not managed any decent fireworks pics for a while I decided that I had to get my instruction book out and switched to aperture priority mode, then had a change of plan and switched to 'B' mode.
I then borrowed my husbands tripod and wandered up and down the street, trying to work out which direction the fireworks would happen.
Trying to use a strange tripod in the dark is not easy, At one point I was trying to take photos over 6ft fences, so I gave up and just lifted the whole lot up, used the eyepiece to ensure I was aiming in the right direction and guessed.
