No P in Painswick? by daffodill

No P in Painswick?

A quick look at the Met Office Website revealed that the Gloucester area was one of the places where we may encounter better weather. Off we headed for Painswick & Stroud.
We started in Painswick - P for posh.
Despite this Painswick failed to insPire as the public toilets were locked. Fortunately Painswick redeemed itself when we found some toilets in the Market Hall...
The church had 99 yews in the grounds, however, the village was quiet with most of the shops and cafes closed, so we moved on to Stroud. Only 3 miles away, but what a contrast! Despite some rather grand buildings, this is the home of Wilkinsons and pound shops. Interesting market area adjacent to the church - which was sadly locked!
First time we had wandered round these places, I am sure we will return on a warmer day!
what a clever and splendid picture with the stained glass in relief so to speak, but did you mean 99 sheep in the grounds :-) not really sure what the reference ment
very good capture though
