Connected with Ice Rays

The ice in the alley puddle froze. Many leaves were trapped in the iced up puddle. As the water froze, rays formed across the puddle.
Aah ! so winter is here !! --I love the simplicity of this with everything frozen in time !

In spite of the cold that formed it, the ice really does have some nice qualities.

Splinters of ice mean very thin layers - not too frozen - - yet!

@beryl Thank you. The weather is switching back and forth between Autumn and winter weather. Right now, it is warmer than usual. I am hoping that the warmer weather will stay, but I know it won't.

@maggiemae The water is very shallow in this puddle. I am not certain how the rays were formed in the water.
