April 3: The Mundane in Black and White

As I wandered around the backyard in search of abstracts to shoot, my eyes were caught by this. I could not believe how abstract this look. When I got inside, I realized that it is time for my black and white Wednesday image. I am glad I found this subject. Who would have known that a trash can with left over rain drops would look like this!

In my area, we had series of thunderstorms. The flooding has shut down a major east/west highway and numerous smaller highways in my area. We are now under a tornado watch. I may be shutting down my computer soon. Even though we need the rain, we certainly don't need the rain all at once. I won't even mention hail and tornadoes. April showers are one thing. Severe April thunderstorms are another. I will be glad when this storm system moves on. I would even be happier if the storm system fell apart, so no one would be hit by this. Please remind me of this rain when I start complainining later on this year about how dry it is.
I `ll do when you do. Although we always complain on our weather ( we say we have four seasons often all on one day ) I won`t chance it for yours.
Great find and a beautiful capture and processing on this nice B+W abstract

You must be somewhere near to my area - we had torrential rains this morning but didn't last long, and we're still under that tornado watch. Must be spring! Had to read your commentary to guess your abstract - how cool! Nice processing and pov.

@pyrrhula Thank you for your comments. The weather is quite changeable here too. I really don't like tornadoes. We are still under a tornado watch, but the severe thunderstorms seemed to have calmed down.

Like diamonds. I hope the rain slows for you!

I never would have guessed what this was. I kept being drawn to the water drops - and the reflections in them. Neat capture!!!

@pyrrhula Thanks for the comments. We don't usually have four seasons in one day, but our weather is very changeable. We have a saying, "If you don't like the weather, stay around for five minutes." Therefore, I should not complain about the weather.

@milaniet Thanks! I hope your area made it through the storms OK. The storms stayed mostly to the south and east of my area. Over the weekend, I will inspect the house for hail damage.

@deu49097 I was surprised by how the water drops looks like. The rain is gone now.
