April 26: Azalea Abstract

The azaleas are blooming! I had an unexpected surprise when photographing the azalea. Can you see my surprise in this abstract? I shot several shots before I sensed some motion by my hand closest to the azalea. I looked down and saw a spider. My hand closest to the azalea was an inch or two away from this spider. It is a good thing I am not scared of most spiders! This spider had made a web across the azalea blossom and was waiting near the bottom of the blossom for some unsuspecting insect or photographer.
Beautiful capture AND surprise.

That is so cool! I'm not sure I could have kept such a calm reaction though. Made for one fascinating shot!

@milaniet Thanks! I have found that spiders like to stay by their webs, but it was still disconcerting to have a spider so close to me.
