Shards by daisymiller

Shards

My goal today was to capture the ice layer on top of the puddle (my photo subject for this month's series). I was dismayed to find out that a truck had driven through the puddle and had broken the ice. Then, I started looking for the beauty in the broken ice. This is when I spied this grouping of ice shards. Another lesson learned: one sometimes has to look a bit harder than usual to find beauty in nature.
Great shot- lots of textures and layers.

Just so cool...the patterns the ice makes are wonderful and you capture them so well! Nicely done.

Very true! It's like the surprising colors you start to see when you look at rust and decaying things. Great shot Daisy!

@annacreber Thanks. It is amazing how many layers one mud puddle can have.
