Phlox Beyond Its Peak

The garden phlox is beyond its peak. The blossoms tend to fall off like this.

I doesn't look dead but must have only a tenuous hold on its stem! Great catch and so beautiful with the colour!

@maggiemae I really thought these blossoms were dying. However, they are still hanging in there. Usually, the garden phlox does not last long in the summer garden. This year the weather conditions are just right for the phlox blossoms.
