The surprise lilies are blooming. I like these plants. The leaves come up in the spring. Then, the leaves die down. Then, the blossom stalk rises out of the ground after a late summer rainstorm. Of course, you have forgotten about seeing the leaves in the spring and you ask, "What is that? Where did that come from?" "Surprise!"
