Leaf tunnel by daisymiller

Leaf tunnel

It usually warms up in mid January. This year was no exception. It was nice to be outside without being bundled up in hat, scarf, and coat. I went on a photo walk around my yard to see if I could find anything different to photograph. My eyes were drawn to a pile of leaves in the stacked tomato cages.
A natural leaf catcher! Some people blow these leaves out somewhere else - ridiculous!

@maggiemae Funny! Yes, the tomato cages make good natural leaf catchers. In the spring, we will run the lawn mower over the leaves remaining in our yard. We will use the mulcher setting. Then, we will take the leaves to the yard waste drop off. Through a multi step process, this yard waste will be turned into compost that the citizens of my city can buy at a very low cost.

A great find and capture. Love the contrast between the iron basket and dry leaves.
