The end of the parking lot

I thought it had warmed up enough for me to go to a park just outside of town. Twenty minutes at the park was enough for me. I was shivering and shivering by then. This is one of the first photos I took at the park. There is a fence at the end of one of the parking lots. This is to prevent anyone from driving into the lake. This park has a lot of safety features. I guess there must be lots of accidents at this park OR the city is trying to prevent accidents. This is a city owned park. The city used to get water from the lake (reservoir). The park has several different features to attract visitors: a lake which is stocked with fish, a soccer field, a go cart race arena, a Frisbee golf course, a dog park and more.
Love the reflections in that melted snow - really neat. Guess maybe the melting made you think it was warmer than it was!

@milaniet Thanks. I always forget that the air is going to feel cold until the ground warms up.

@beryl Thanks. I think the BW best expressed the weather that day.

@eyesmile Thank you. Yes, the lake was frozen with snow on top of the ice. The ice was thin enough that the park officials had placed a sign by the lake warning people that the ice was thin and to stay off the ice.
