I have been watching this juvenile female cardinal for the last few days. She took refuge from the rain in one of the sunflower plants outside my house. We received over five inches of rain over the three day weekend. The rain had a tendency to start back up without warning. I took this shot from inside my house, because I did not want to get caught in a down pour.
