"I see you! by daisymiller

"I see you!

This female house finch looked at me as if to say, "I see you!" Then, she went back to eating sunflower seeds from the bird feeder. P.S. The green in the background is winter wheat that I planted in the kitchen garden. It stays green in the winter time.
cute shot ...The winter wheat sounds like a wonderful idea, wish I had a place to do that.

@lynnz Thanks. I have found that wheat can grow in a small area. One year, we planted the wheat in medium sized hanging baskets for an experiment. I think though that they need an area a bit longer than this. The background in the picture is one of the kitchen gardens, which are approximately 4 feet by 8 feet in size.

@milaniet Thanks. I am glad the winter wheat looks good in photos. The kitchen garden with the wheat is behind the bird feeder.

@jclaireyp Thanks. In the beginning of the season, the finches are really shy and nervous. Then, they get used to me.
