Hosta Leaves in February

When seeking a photo subject with texture, I noticed the Hosta leaves. The leaves are stacked up on top of each other. It is interesting to see the decay process in action. Hopefully, the Hosta leaves will add nutrients to the soil.
All leaves must add nutrients to the soil, I reckon- also seeds at times! Nice crushed dry look here!
