I was weeding the front flower bed, when I spied this.Due to the teeth marks, I think a squirrel had been getting a little snack. We had gotten a half inch of rain a day ago, but I did not expect to see mushrooms. There were four mushrooms in total. We have had rain before, but no mushrooms appeared.
Talking about "unexpected". Part of this year has been unexpectedly rough one on me. This is why I did not write a lot of comments on your photos. This is a short version of what happened to me. In mid April, the seasonal allergies hit me hard. My doctor prescribed medication, which gave me a lot of nasty side effects. A few of these side effects led to other ailments and a different medication to treat one of these ailments.Even though I kept on taking daily photos (my daily therapy), it was difficult for me at times to post photos on a daily basis. I felt so much better at the end of last week. Then, I was bit by a nasty bug on the 4th of July. I started running a fever. This led to another doctor visit and more medication. I hope I can stay healthy from now on. I will try to get back to writing to you on a regular basis. I thank everyone who kept writing me comments, even when I did not reply back.
Great close-up. Sorry to hear about all the health issues, but it sounds like you are on the mend now - sending good thoughts for continued good progress!
Wow Daisy- I'm so sorry to hear about all your health issues. I confess I don't always go through all the pictures on my feed so I got off track with your project. I'm glad you're back and feeling better! Continued well-wishes to you and prayers that you'll stay healthy.
