I have found another benefit of having Japanese beetles. They leave behind lovely shreds of the husk that held the perennial hibiscus blossom. The other benefit is that the beetles pollinate the blossoms that they eat. However, I do not think that these two benefits outweigh the enormous destruction caused by the Japanese beetles. They have enormous appetites.
