As the temperatures begin to cool off, I am slowly moving my houseplants back into the house. I started moving in one of the plant stands and discovered this Monarch pupa. I was very surprised. We have Monarch caterpillars on the milkweed plants in our garden, but the plants are a long crawl away from the plant stand for a caterpillar. I decided to keep the plant stand outside for now and keep the pupa under observation. I do not think that it will be long until the Monarch butterfly hatches out. I can already see the patterns on the wings inside the pupa.
