I was thinking of my mother when I put together this still life. In the foreground: She raised a flock of chickens each year. The baby chicks would arrive on a train in the early spring. In the middle: She watered plant seedlings with a real watering can similar in shape to this decorative watering can. In the background: My mother's favorite spring flower was hyacinths.
