June 3: Storm Aftermath
The storms also bent down the plant stalks. I noticed that the iris stalk had a bud on it, as well as a ruined blossom. I brought in the bloom stalk and placed it in a vase. I was happy that the bud opened up into a beautiful flower.

Poor irises. We first had strong winds that did havoc in the garden. Now we have temperatures of 35C approx. which are burning up what is left.
