Winter Blahs by daisymiller

Winter Blahs

I try to find the beauty in every season. It is always a struggle for me to find beauty in winter, as it is my least favorite season. When I took this picture, the snowflakes big and looked like the feathers of birds. Now, that was pretty. However, I did notice that all of the snow pictures I took in this set looked "washed out". Part of this was due to the low light levels. Part of this was due to "my winter blahs." I am tired of winter and want spring time to come. I find that it is much easier to get contrast and beauty in a photo, if I feel good about what I am photographing. Perhaps spring will come so I can be passionate again about what I am photographing. OR perhaps I will get my photo mojo back and will refind the beauty of winter.
The best way to fight winter blahs is a cup of cocoa! Those are big snowflakes--a sure sign that winter is slowing down.

Yes, winter is a good time for hot cooa! I am thinking that these big snowflakes are showing that it is the tail end of winter.
