The Pond In Spring

I've shot this pond on our property a few times. The lighting was really intersting today with sunlight from behind and to the left causing the new foliage on the willow across the pond to have an almost unearthly yellow-green glow against the dark rain clouds that were rolling in
Beauty!

Simple but nature at its best. Great photo.

that lighting is spectacular ~ really sets off that willow as well as the grasses. I remember seeing a willow by our lake here when it was just budding out and thinking it would make a good photo for the very same reason ~ it almost seemed to glow. Never did get it ~ but happy to see yours =) The combination of natural colors are beautiful!

@volden - the app I used (Pro HDR) took care of everything for me. Basically it scans the scene to check for various light levels and then takes multiple shots with various exposures so all elements are "properly" exposed. That's why you get the nice cloud detail without the areas in sunlight being completely over exposed. HDR = High Dynamic Range. People seem to either love or hate the effect, and with a proper camera instead of an iPhone app you can get some really spectacular shots (I'm in the love it camp, for the right subject matter)
