@clicketynix - Yep. I do all my own stunts. I also miss Shakey's - none of them around here either. Take a couple of potatoes (I use Russets) and half bake them - 30 min @ 350* F. You want them to still be firm, but partiallly cooked. Pull them out and let them cool. Slice the potatoes fairly thin (~1/8-1/4 inch?). Prep an egg wash and some flour, flavored with Lawry's Seasoned Salt. Dunk the potatoes in the egg wash, dip 'em in flour mixture, and drop them in hot oil until they are GBD (golden, brown, and delicious). Drain on paper towels and dusk with more Lawry's.
