This is the plant where the Sulphur butterflies like to play and lay their eggs.
Today's photo challenge was "sunshine" and this reminded me of the sun since it's yellow. If you look closely, you can see drops of water. I think it must be from the heat because there was no rain or water today.
@marlboromaam Thanks, Maggie! It's not a common plant. I got it at Butterfly World. It grows so easy and the seeds plant new ones, though it is not invasive. It does get large, but it cuts back easy. So easy to grow.
@marlboromaam Here it is a perennial. I would suppose you could plant it in a planter and bring it in during the winter. Yes, of course it would survive your heat and humidity since it survives ours!! It's a large plant. I let the one get to be about 8' tall (or more sometimes) and maybe 6' wide. Want some seeds when I get them?
