Just having fun

Challenging day yesterday. Scheduled surgery for early January. Almost missed a beautiful sunset, which restored me. I could have uploaded one of those shots. The evening brought some much needed alone time and I walked to the busy street nearby to capture some light. Something a little different for me.
Very cool!!!

Very cool!! Exercises like this help remind me how much there is to learn in this world of photography. Hope you enjoyed your alone time...it appears that you did!

@clmiller Thanks, Caren!!

@raineyday We learn something new every day. I keep wanting to do some night shots, but I am usually busy and "forget" about the opportunities out there. Yes, I very much enjoyed my evening.

@kandernob Thanks so much, Karen!

Well done!

More of that familiar orange and blue lights mingled amongst the other colors. It does look like you enjoyed yourself! I hope the surgery that your are facing isn't too serious.

@vesna0210 Thanks, Vesna!

@skipt07 You got me. I didn't even "see" the orange and blue because they are all just car lights! I don't even know where the bluish ones came in. I think I'll try again with heavier traffic. Surgery is on my foot. It's extensive and downtime too long. I will miss many months of working out with my friends. Not excited about it, but it has to be done and it could be much worse.

@skipt07 BTW, the sunset I mentioned was also orange and blue. :-D

@danette - The little bit of blue towards the center looks more like teal so it might be a traffic light. I hope your downtime turns out to be far less then the doctors expect and that what the doctors have to do to correct the problem turns out not to be as involved as they originally thought.

Cool light play Danette...you can fill your downtown with photos! :) Seriously, I hope it doesn't turn as extensive as they think at present.

@lynnb Glad you like it, Lynn. First experiment. Thanks for your nice words!

Very cool ! I thought it was light painting but reading comments it's the lights of traffic ? How did you achieve the rotations ?

@bardejov Thank you! I just moved the camera. It was a long exposure...2.5 seconds.

@lauriew Thanks for your kind words, Laurie!

@bkbinthecity I am so glad you liked it! Was an experiment.

@paintdipper Thanks for your nice comments, Junan!

Love the light play! I'd have never guessed it was traffic, figured you'd had someone swirl handheld lights! The blues and golds are surprising then.. interesting!

And so sorry to hear about foot surgery needed. Sure hope you have a successful surgery and speedy recovery! Yeah, it'll be longer than you want, but in the long run, good to have whatever the problem is fixed!

@ariel817 Thanks, Linda! I plan on trying it more to see what else can be done. Thanks for the good words on the surgery. I have never been "down and out" before...at least not since my youngest was born nearly 25 years ago.
