This nearly-lifesize nativity is placed on display each year by a neighborhood association. It surprises me since it is not the politically correct thing to do. It is a large subdivision with many entrances that are all elaborately decorated for Christmas each year. They have even planted trees shaped best to look like Christmas trees. You will note that baby Jesus has not yet been placed in the manger. They will do that come Christmas. Last year, someone stole the baby Jesus! Fortunately it has a GPS imbedded and found him. Who would steal such a thing? I wish I could capture this scene a little better. It is on a very busy road with no place to park. I illegally parked a few blocks away!
That's GREAT Danette! (it is amazing what we do "illegally" for a good shot, isnt' it?!
And regarding "stealing Jesus"....my first thought was, "they don't need to steal Him since He gives Himself freely". :)
Thought it was HYSTERICAL that Jesus has a GPS!!! LOLOL
Merry Christmas to you...
@karenzachary Merry Christmas to you! You are right, they don't need to steal him. Nor do they need a GPS because Jesus certainly knows who stole the little baby!
@paintdipper Thanks so much, Junan. It is a beautiful scene and the blue lights get your attention from a far distance.
@lynnb I think the baby might have cost at least $500. They are large with good detail, so you know there is some money invested. It is a lovely scene. Thanks for your comments!

@chrismarfil Yes, the lights are wonderful. I really wish there was better access.
@daisy Thanks, Kathryn!
@bkbinthecity I totally agree! I really don't know of another nativity around.
@bdb3471 Thanks so much, Brian! I was just worried my car would get towed or something.
@brav Thanks so much for your nice comments!
@rachelmackenzie Thanks for stopping by, Rachel!
