March brings in the NCAA tournament of March Madness. I don't much follow basketball, but I do keep an ear on what is happening with my beloved Gators (Univ. of Florida). They begin the tournament as 3rd Seed in their division. Go Gators!
One of the reasons it is called March Madness is because no one gets any work done during the tournament games. Much productivity is lost here in the US. Whichever teams are expected to win, usually get knocked out early on. Many upsets happen.
I have never heard of March Madness although I do like to watch basketball. It must be exciting to have teams to follow. Nice shot Danette!! We played netball at school which is played by girls and is something like basketball. As I was 5ft 9inches I was always Goal defence and I wanted to shoot!! LOL!!
@gailmmeek It was actually overcast, but bright (noon sun). I angled it so the sun would reflect on the backboard, and then overexposed for something different.
I'm glad for the feedback. I wanted something a little different. It's good to see how people treat the same word so differently. Thank you all so much. I appreciate each of you.
So here's a bizarre coincidence... I took the very same picture yesterday, but with a macro lens. http://365project.org/squamloon/365/2013-03-19 And I know absolutely nothing about basketball—which is why the net in our driveway's covered with lichen. :^)
It's a weird world.
And you're absolutely right—I have no excuse not to go to the gym! (God knows I won't be shooting hoops in the driveway!)
Great pov Danette.
