It certainly takes patience to capture the birds in flight. I knew the sunset would be pretty last night, so we were right near a lake where there are heron nests. Every time this bird flew, I didn't catch him. He seemed to sense I wanted a photo and he flew out of the nest in front of the setting sun and back to the nest!

@bardejov This bird was so nice to show off for me for a minute (and it really was only a minute!). Since I had already missed several brief opportunities, I took the lull in time to set my camera just in case a bird would fly again before it got dark!
