I enjoyed watching these two Blue Jays. He kept trying to get her attention. This was the last photo I took when two Mockingbirds swooped in and my dog chased after them. So much for love!
@mittens@megmills@sisarie@henrir@lynnb I was so thrilled to see it all happen. First I saw a Mockingbird and my settings were ALL WRONG! I was able to fiddle for a few minutes and experiment with some shots when the Blue Jays arrived! The sky was very overcast, which is why the colors are soft. I think it accentuated the blue.
Hi, Danette! A very nice moment you have noticed and took a shot of it! The birds are beautiful! We haven't got such kind of them at our place. I like the white BG here, too.
Danette , Wonderful capture and composition. Blue jays are such beautiful birds and they are so hard (at least for me) to get close enough to for long enough! ;-)
@rob257 thanks so much for the Fav and the follow, Rob! I was lucky on this. I had walked out back to photograph a mockingbird in the tree. I had spent a few minutes adjusting settings when the first Blue Jay came, then another. I didn't have to move, fortunately. I was just patient and watched the romance play out. They have been very active lately! Btw, you and I have the same camera!

@jodimuli Thanks so much for your comments!
@anden The sky was gray, but it really worked out to show off the birds!
@lucypics Thanks so much for the Fav, Lucy! They were so cute.
@dreams I am glad the tree hasn't flushed out with leaves yet.
@soboy5 Thank you, Danny. I was happy to witness their behavior.
@gailmmeek The sky was very overcast, but bright. It really worked to show off the tree and birds.
@billsouth Thanks so much, Bill!
