Thank you all for your comments! I see these lizards all the time, but rarely puffing out his throat. Someone on 365 told me to watch when he bobs his head as he does it just before. They were right! Males do this for sexual and territorial reasons. I was glad he was putting on a show within camera distance (though closer would have been nice!).
