Today's word was Urban or Rural. I thought that was the word yesterday! Today, it was nearly dark when I was able to go out and try to get a photo. I went to the only rural street very close by. Low and behold, I saw a pea hen crossing the street. I stopped my car in the middle of the road and tried not to chase her away. A homeowner here has owned them for decades and allows them to run wild. Then, the peacock appeared and played hide and seek with me. As soon as he would appear on one side of my car, once he saw me with my camera, he'd go back the other way. In this one, he is lit with my headlights.
wow did the headlights create a golden brown color along the side....peas I've seen don't have that....cool shot...but I love the other one playing peek a boo with you! Hilarious!
@megmills We sure had fun! It was the highlight of our night. I didn't even know if they would be out. Sorry that the peahen lost out to the more colorful peacock!
@jodimuli Ah, that would have been wonderful. It was amazing he even let me capture his tail and body together. I had to be sneaky. I'm sure I went around the car 20 times.
